2022 Glide Wildflower Show

What a weekend for the show.  After almost a solid week of rain on the flower collecting volunteers, the sky decided to clear up.  Both days of the show were sunny, mild, and beautiful.  By Monday, the rain returned.  Of course, Oregon needs the rain, so no one complained.

Jeanne Moore
The volunteer workers were surprised by an unexpected visitor - Jeanne Moore!
She popped in to see how things were going.

Checking out the Darlingtonia.

The room was filled with excitement.
Lots of people had been waiting for this show!

The  Book Store was in a new location this year.
It didn't take long for people to find it.

The morning started with a very interesting presentation.
Richard Helliwell, retired Forest Service botanist, spoke about Vegetation Recovery after Wildfire.

The native plant sale was very popular.

Checking out the plants and sitting to eat pie.

Another popular presentation by Alicia Christensen, OSU Forestry Extension, on how to identify native trees.

Because of the Archie Creek Fire, the Wildflower Walk
was moved to the Wolf Creek Trail.
Participants study a Howell's saxifrage.

Another surprise visitor . . . lucky for everyone it was stuffed!

Show dates for 2023:
