Glide Wildflower Show Bioblitz 2021

Glide Wildflower Show is going virtual for 2021!

This year, the show will be on the internet. Flowers will be photographed, identified, and displayed online for everyone’s enjoyment and education.

You can visit the 2021 show no matter where you are. And if you live or play in southwest Oregon, you can contribute your photos. Come join the fun!

  Any wildflower photo
taken in Coos, Curry, Douglas, Jackson, or Josephine counties
from Saturday, April 17 to Thursday, April 22
and uploaded to iNaturalist
will automatically become part of the
Glide Wildflower Show, April 24 & 25.

I just want to look at flowers.
Download and open the iNaturalist app, or go to www.iNaturalist.org. Start exploring!

Glide Wildflower Show photos will begin appearing April 17. The entire show, with IDs, can be viewed starting the show weekend, Saturday & Sunday, April 24 & 25, and continuing forever.  Here's where to see the show.

I’m in! How do I contribute flowers to the show?
Create an account on iNaturalist: Download and open the iNaturalist app, or go to www.iNaturalist.org. No login is needed to browse the site, but uploading requires an account. (It’s free.)

Take a photo with your phone or digital camera. Any plant growing in the wild is fair game. Non-flowering ferns, horsetails, and trees are also fine to include. Please don’t include flowers from your garden. Go to the Glide Wildflower Show BioBlitz on iNaturalist for photo tips.

Upload your observation:
iNaturalist.org has great instructions under Help - Getting Started. Take some pictures and try it out!

But I don’t know what the plant is. Just type "Plants." At iNaturalist, the person uploading a photo can (but doesn’t have to) suggest an identification. The GWS botanist team will look at uploaded photos and make sure they are identified as well as possible.

Need help? Send us an email  We’ll get back with you ASAP.
