Glide Wildflower Show

Student Day Cordinator

Be responsible for the K-4th grade student visitation (from Glide Elementary) on Monday morning after the show. Plan educational and art activities and presentations. (Activities are already prepared and just need to be selected and pulled from storage.) Print student materials. Arrange schedule and bus transportation with school. Select and supervise volunteer helpers and speakers. Direct set-up Sunday afternoon. Direct activities on that Monday.

Skills: Organized, self-starting. Good at planning, scheduling. Experience working with children is desirable.

Time required: We won’t lie: this job takes many hours, during the 3 months before the show.

Side benefits: Continuing a long tradition of sharing the show with Glide’s children, helping kids develop a love of the natural world, watching the delight in their faces when they see unusual plants, learn about botany, or make an art project from flowers.
